A quick stop by del.icio.us brought me to this essay, Instant Messaging for Introverts, by Joe Kissell, posted at Tidbits. (For those who don’t know about the perils of some software platforms: you may need to scroll down, way down, to get to the actual post – this necessary scrolling is not just because introverts don’t really want you to read their essays 🙂

The essay includes links to articles and books on introverts, including the very funny, pithy, and soon to be classic, Caring for your Introvert, by Jonathan Rauch.

Librarians grok introverts.

2) Hadley v Baxendale
3) Statute of Westminster
4) Something, anything almost, from Blackstone
5) Bracton

And today, while tracking down another librarian lead (Government Database Restriction Access Information on Abortion – also Wired story here), I found this:

Look also at their State Law Library’s Legal Topics Page on Foreclosure (and look at their other Legal Topics too – we love this chart! You don’t have to live in Wisconsin to find useful information in it.)

April 1st was probably not the best day to Tell the Truth, but here goes, via beSpacific and the FTC: The Truth About Cell Phones and the Do Not Call Registry

Excerpt: “The Federal Trade Commission today reiterated that despite the claims made in e-mails circulating on the Internet, consumers should not be concerned that their cell phone numbers will be released to telemarketers in the near future, and that it is not necessary to register cell phone numbers on the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry to be protected from most telemarketing calls to cell phones…” (Full press release)
