School Law (not Law School), aka Education Law

By

BoleyBlogs links us to a School Law Blog (not to be confused with Law SCHOOL blogs :-).

I had a classmate in law school who planned to practice “school law.” At the time I hadn’t a clue what I wanted to do with my J.D (as is true of many but not all law students) and only later realized what a rich field she was entering. School Law covers a lot of ground including labor and employment law, civil rights, criminal, juvenile, family, torts, religion, government benefits and entitlements, discrimination, contract, disability, athletics, and of course, education law. (Local government law is similarly diverse, vibrant, and relevant to people’s lives.)
